The Modesto Bee has reported on Thursday that the San Jose Earthquakes are hoping to lure Luka Modrić, Vedran Ćorluka and the Tottenham Hotspur to the states for a friendly sometime next summer. Earthquakes owner Lew Wolff said his first choice was to have his team play Tottenham in England, but the scheduling of a trip there during the MLS regular season was too difficult.
San Jose has a well known Croatian community and I'm sure that Luka and Vedran would be treated like royalty. Also, I'm sure that fellow Los Angeles Croats would make the one hour flight/six hour drive trip to the bay area. Hopefully, this gets finalized within the next few months so I can plan my summer.

Damnit all the way to the west coast :(. Living in the Michigan sucks.
Marko,
Look for a cheep flight to San Jose or San Francisco. It shouldn't cost you more than $200.
Also, nothing is confirmed yet! There might be a chance the game is scheduled somewhere on the east coast.
I might be in Zagreb for the Ukraine-Croatia match in June. Hopefully, this friendly is sometime in August.
Come join us for Tottenham-San Jose.
I can probably attend the Ukrainian game since school ends in May and I'll have my degree. Might be going on a European trip over the summer. Definitely stopping by Croatia if I decide to go :). I'd go its just it depends on the $ i got. I hope Tottenham come to U.S. I'm interested in watching a good EPL team.
Damn, i'm here in New York. Hopefully the spurs can come play the Red Bulls at the new stadium we have eventually.
Ivica,
I was att he Home Depot Center for New York Redbulls-Columbus Crew... Your boys played good. Pretty good atmosphere for an MLS game.
Marko,
I'm still paying off my trip last summer. Where are you studying?
Denis you go to Croatia a lot lol
Joze,
I'm a geography major, traveling is in my blood. Over the years I learned how to travel right.
Croatia this summer is 50-50. My philosophy is travel while you can, one day you'll be 35 with a wife and three kids; not that there's anything wrong with that.
Also, Australia is on my mind. Maybe I should skip Croatia and save my money for the land down under.
I'm studying at home at the moment (Michigan). I'll have an associates in Liberal Arts (eh worth nothing) then transfer to a university for Journalism. I was really interested in journalism for the man fact they're many opportunities, areas of work, and travel.
Your not wrong Denis. You only live once! If youve got the opportunity and you can afford it why not
Marko,
Ante and I will hire you to post for CroatianSoccer Report.com. However, we will hire you as an intern..haha.
Joze,
I'm not so sure that I can afford to get out of the house now a days.
"reach for the moon, if you miss you'll land among the stars."
By the way i'm 36 with no wife and no kids and i've been in croatia for 7 months working as a journalist. Age has nothing to do with being tied down. I agree with Denis' philosophy about travel, but just want to say it does not have to end at a certain age. I think the older you get the smarter and more resourceful you get about giving yourself the opportunity to travel....
Brane,
You are on point, living in the dream. I agree with you about travel, the older you get, the more trips you take, the wiser you become.
You can take as many trips as you want in life. But if you get tied down in a 'shitty' relationship, notice I said shitty, where you can't manage your own chick, good luck with trips! But that's only coming from a 22 year-old who pays a lot of attention to things that go on around him.
