Index.hr has reported today that Real Betis has raised their offer from 5 to 6.5 million Euros for the rights to Croatian international Danijel Pranjić. Last summer, Real offered 5 million Euros and the rights to former Croatian international Marko Babić for the 27 year old former Dinamo Zagreb midfielder; which Heerenveen ultimately declined.
Personally, I would like to see Danijel suit up for Juventus. Going from Heerenveen to Betis isn't much of an upgrade. Marko Babić virtually disappeared after his 2007 transfer from Bayer Leverkusen to Betis, appearing in only 10 games without registering on the score sheet.
We will keep you posted as this story further develops.
Where should Pranjić start the new year?

In that case he would be better off staying at Herveneen if other offers don't come in. Real Betis can't compete with teams like barca, real madrid and athletico madrid of the Spanish first division. You aren't gonna find world class talent on a team like Real Betis for Danijel to better his game, so a move like this would just suck for his career. The guy is clearly entering his prime right now, lets hope this is just all talk and Juve (or another world class club) sign him in January.
Ye...I think no Betis either. Its not much of a move.
Marko Babic really did disappear..where is he now?
Still on the Real Betis roster, according to wikipedia. Also says he rejected a 9 million pound move to Portsmouth earlier this year.
AJAX thats the team for Daniel Pranjic. He'll play with better players alongside his friend Sulajmani, but at a higher level in the Champions League. No real need to move to Spain, France, Germany, Italy or England. If he does move away it should be to Germany to someone like Schalke or Hamburg. Not to Spain. Its no just Croats who don't get games in Spain. There is a general lack of Eastern/Central European players in Spain these days. Its mainly a league of Spanish and South American players.
Marko Babic should leave Betis as soon as possible. They've been on really playing him at left back in the few times he does play. He needs to get out of there asap. even if it means going to Croatia or Austria. One step back to go two steps forwards for him am afraid.

olic signed for juventus
Joze,
I'm not to big on Javno.com. They cover the "croatian news" not Croatian soccer news. Most of their writers don't have a clue about football. Most of the time its copy and paste.
AS of right now, rumors are circling of Olic signing with Bayern Munich for 4 years at 3 mil euro per year. The Juve rumor was just a rumor. Nothing is close to being official.
However, all this talk is for next summer. Way way way to early for contracts.
Thanks for the update Joze!
Danijel come to panathinaikos, come to the biggest team in greece come to play in cham.league. and you feel like a king in greece.tso 13
Danijel come to play in panathinaikos with rukavina. galinovic . gilberto silva. karagounis
come to play for all the crazy fans of panathinaikos.
Anonymous,
Imagine Pranjic at Panathinaikos. To be perfectly honest, I would prefer Danijel join a "big 4 league" However, with the way Panathinakos is playing and having two Croats on the team, I wouldn't mind another Croat in Greece. Maybe a better cuisine = goals
Got no problem with this. Pranjic to Panathanaikos is fine. People talking about Real, Milan and sides like that are being unrealistic. Just imagine if they play him at left back, he'll be the laughing stock. He's got a good left foot, but i don't think Pranjic is the type of player to hold down a attacking position at Milan or Real. Ronaldo, Kaka, Snieder maybe not Pranjic. Panathanaikos is fine for Pranjic.
