German Bild has reported today, that Croatian international, Ivica Olic has played his last game for Hamburg and might be out up to six months after torn knee ligaments were found after yesterday's Hamburg UEFA Cup loss.
It has now been confirmed that Olić has not torn ligaments and will be available for the Ukraine game. Phew.

Its a bit too late in the year for an April fools joke, Denis...
...we can't handle any more injuries
When did this happen? I saw most of this match and must've missed it. In any case, the Vatreni is being decimated with injuries. I'm getting a bad feeling about qualification.
Eek i just looked on the most reliable source i.e Hamburgs website and it mentions it there as well. I think its best to stop talking about Croatian injuries and fitness. This is why you need B matches and to test squad players. If Mate Bilic and Sharbini don't get a call up now its a joke. So now there is fitness concerns over our four main strikers with Klasnic being the fittest.
We'll just have to pack Rakitic and Modric around whoever plays up front and hope it works. If Vrucina, Drpic, Vejic, Kalinic and Ilicevic are in the next squad i think its time to worry as coach with have wrong ideas, but if Bilic selects the right players we may still be okay without Olic, Petric and Eduardo. I personally think people like M Bilic, Klasnic, Sharbini and Rukavina can still do a job on Ukraine - but i don't think Kalinic, Vrucina or Ilicevic can.
*** FALSE ALARM ****
It turns out IVICA OLIC is alright. Just hours ago, Ivica was checked out and there were no signs of knee ligament tears.
I repeat, IVICA OLIC (as of right now) is ready for UKRAINE...
Hopefully, I don't jinx him and Croatia for a third time.
We will keep updating this story as it develops.
THANK YOU. Was afraid we would be carrying another injury. They seem to be piling up at the worst time.
On hamburg's website it mentions about a hamstring injury..
what is this some kind of sick joke or something?
No Andrew,
Initial doctor reports stated that Olic had sever damage to his knee. They later retracted the statement and had admitted they made a mistake. Olic is fine!
