Ivan Rakitić was at Uvala Lapad in Dubrovnik hanging out with eight friends Thursday afternoon. He was more than willing to be on camera for a few seconds but requested to move away from his friends so that they wouldn't rag on him. Even though he says he's rooting for Germany, Rakitić said he was not following the World Cup.

We all know that Nike and the HNS are due to put out a new home and away kit for EURO 2012 qualifying. There have been rumors that the new kits would contain elements of gold, which we clearly see here in these depictions. Although this may just be an amateur design, I could definitely picture our boys running around in these threads.

After spending five days or so drinking Karlovačko and hanging out with friends and family, I thought, what a perfect way to start the work week than with an interview with fellow 'Prva Generacija' member Alexander Žic.

Update from Zagreb

The final question that I asked Alex is a little hint about previously mentioned 'greatest news ever for CroatianSoccerReport.com.' With this said, let's not get our hopes up or jinx(Ante) anything. As of right now, I am looking in to what it would take to host a Dinamo Zagreb, Hajduk Split and ultimately Croatia for a friendly match in the United States. I won't mention anything more about this until I have further details. Also, I am not allowed to mention any details or names. I feel like I am communicating with the Sicilian mafia. Stay tuned.

CSR VERSION 2.0

"UNITING CROATIAN FANS AROUND THE WORLD"

As leagues all over Europe begin to wind down and narrow their search for a champion, Denis and I (mostly Denis) had a great idea to include our most loyal supporters and diehard fans into the CroatianSoccerReport.com scene a bit more.

We would like Prva Generacija to voice their thoughts and opinions in our 'Croatians Around Europe' series. When you watch a game involving a Croatian footballer, you can create a little write-up of what happened in the game and how the Croatian player performed. Just like in 'Croatians Around Europe', add a picture or two and find a highlights video on Youtube and you're all set!

Not just will this take some pressure off of Denis and I (as it usually takes us four hours combined to finish the post every weekend), but it will also produce different opinions of the games to run off of. No matter if the match is watched worldwide or if it's Hrvoje Ćale playing lonesome in Turkey- we want to hear what you have to say! We will obviously be giving all our future writers full credit.
